Meet Our Pastor!

Rev. Michael Jefferson, Pastor

Pastor Mike is a preaching, teaching, scientist who is passionate about delivering justice through religion, education, and energy. He earned a B.S. Environmental Science from Florida A&M University in 2013 and a dual Master of Public Affairs and M.S. in Environmental Science from Indiana University in 2019. He was a 2014 Teach For America Corps member, teaching chemistry in Byhalia, MS and Memphis, TN.

Pastor Mike is a third-year Master of Divinity student at Christian Theological Seminary, in Indianapolis, IN. He is a native of Indianapolis, the eldest of four, a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and President of the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy.

Pastor Mike is an ordained Itinerant Deacon in the Class on Fourth Year Studies in the Indiana Conference Board of Examiners. He is the Secretary of the South District of the Indiana Conference, where he provides leadership in programming, strategy, and logistics in supporting Presiding Elder Elaine Gordon. He holds dual roles in the Indiana Annual Conference as the chairperson of the Ecology, Temperance, and Health Committee and as the Indiana Annual Conference Young Adult Ministries Coordinator.
