Bethel has won four grants from three partners in 2023!

Mental Health Initiative

Our congregation is one of 30 congregations selected to participate in the Mental Health Initiative, a grant program created by the Center for Congregations. The Center for Congregations is funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. and has been committed to Indiana congregations for more than 25 years.

This Mental Health Initiative will help to equip us to offer mental health resources to support our church and community. Late this year, as part of the learning process, we will be eligible to receive up to $40,000 in grant funds.

Black Heritage Preservation Program and Cox Memorial Fund

$10,000 from the Cox Fund - To support the rehabilitation of the building, which includes tuckpointing, a new roof and bell tower restoration replacement of stained glass window coverings, per the Cox Fund Historical Preservation grant application.

$10,000 from the Black Heritage Preservation Program - The grant is for tuckpointing and other maintenance of the church.

Community Benefit Program

$1,500 - The Well-Being Committee of Reid Health gave to support the purchase of a refrigerator and stove as a part of the Physical Activity, Nutrition and Weight grant cycle.
